Task - Working Prototype


The prototype, with its wide screen display and capacitive touch screen was to be developed on top of the ARM mobile Linux platform.


Texas Instruments’ OMAP2420 processor was to be leveraged to provide compelling content that truly enhances the user experience.

Challenge


Time was running out as a functional prototype was needed for the 3GSM event in Barcelona.


In just one month, Provoke needed to create a working prototype using the Movial IXS (Internet Experience Suite) application suite and Movial’s newly unveiled browser-based UI technology.

Process


Together with Apastron and Movial, Provoke designed and built the functional prototype from scratch within a month.


The industrial design, mechanical design and LiveProto® building were the focus of Provoke’s team.

Result


The prototype was finished in a record time of four weeks and showcased at GSMA Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest wireless communications conference and exhibition, in Barcelona, Spain.
